Basketball Recap: O'Bannon Takes a Loss

O'Bannon played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 93-63 loss at the hands of the North Side Gators. The Greenwaves haven't had much luck with the Gators recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

O'Bannon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cordario Calvin, who posted 12 points. Chandler Wade was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Even though they lost, O'Bannon was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

O'Bannon's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for North Side, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

O'Bannon has already played their next matchup, a 70-52 win against Winona on the 21st. As for North Side, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-75 defeat against Simmons on the 18th.
