South Williamsport entered their tilt with Jersey Shore on Wednesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Mountaineers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Levi Butler, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

South Williamsport pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Jersey Shore, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
