Volleyball Game Preview: St. Mary's Academy Bobcats vs. Heritage Preparatory Rams + How To Watch

The St. Mary's Academy Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Heritage Preparatory Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when St. Mary's Academy took on Holy Spirit Prep on Thursday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. The Bobcats have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

St. Mary's Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 27-25, 22-25, 20-25, 25-16, 15-9.

Despite the loss, St. Mary's Academy got top-tier performance from Emily Jimenez, who had 39 digs and two aces. Jimenez has been hot, having posted 17 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Heritage Preparatory, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against North Georgia HomeSchool by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Heritage Preparatory had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-18.

St. Mary's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Heritage Preparatory, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

St. Mary's Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage Preparatory in their previous meeting on Monday, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
