Basketball Recap: Jorden Williams Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Dundalk

Chesapeake posted their closest victory since January 3, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past the Dundalk Owls 61-58. For the Bay Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 65-46 win the Owls walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Chesapeake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jorden Williams, who posted 12 points along with six steals and five boards. Williams is becoming a predictor of Chesapeake's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is 2-1 (and 7-11 when he doesn't). Julius White was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Chesapeake is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for Dundalk, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chesapeake will challenge Owings Mills at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dundalk, they will face off against Catonsville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
