Basketball Recap: Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Louisville Lions with a sharp 44-24 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Neveah Vacha, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Vacha is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Callie Stockamp, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matches.

Despite the defeat, Louisville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Holly Haworth scored eight points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Haworth a new career-high in steals.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Louisville, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will be playing at home against Louisville at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Louisville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-25 loss against Malcolm on the 3rd.
