Baseball Recap: Colleton Prep Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Colleton Prep Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-5 back in March.

Hartman Fisk was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Coldin Lyle was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Colleton Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colleton Prep Academy will face off against Dorchester Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Marion at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. The Raiders are facing the Gators at the right time seeing as the Gators are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
