Football Game Preview: LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers vs. Sycamore Spartans + Official Tickets

LaSalle-Peru is 0-7 against Sycamore since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Cavaliers will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Sycamore took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on LaSalle-Peru, who comes in off a win.

LaSalle-Peru got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They strolled past Ottawa with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. The Cavaliers pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates cut but never quite recovered from.

Sycamore had taken Kaneland down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Spartans came up short against the Knights, falling 34-14. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sycamore's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for LaSalle-Peru, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

LaSalle-Peru ended up a good deal behind Sycamore in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 28-13. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
