Baseball Recap: Richton Rebels vs. Wayne County War Eagles
Richton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-5 to the Wayne County War Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the War Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 two weeks ago.
Richton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Hall, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Hall also got a hit, marking his first of the season.
Richton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wayne County, their record is now 5-2.
Looking ahead, Richton will welcome Northeast Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northeast Jones is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Wayne County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Taylorsville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
