Volleyball Game Preview: West Panthers vs. Alta Hawks

West hasn't had much luck against Alta recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Panthers will head out to take on the Hawks at 2:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.

On Tuesday, West got the win against Cyprus by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

West was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-16, 25-19.

West found their leader in freshman Aiden Lin, who had nine digs, six aces, and one block.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Alta, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Woods Cross 3-0 on Tuesday. The Hawks not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 25-14.

Alta's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for West, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

West might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Alta in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
