Baseball Recap: Belpre Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Belpre's offense. They came up short against the Fort Frye Cadets on Monday, falling 9-0. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Cadets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Belpre's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Fort Frye, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belpre will head out to face off against Alexander at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.4 runs per game on average), something the Golden Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fort Frye, they will square off against Shenandoah at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
