Softball Recap: Cayuga Takes a Loss

Cayuga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Malakoff Tigers, falling 20-0.

Cayuga's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Malakoff, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Cayuga will be taking part in a tournament against Shelbyville at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Malakoff, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lindale at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.5, the Eagles 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
