Basketball Recap: Gregory Takes a Loss

Gregory lost to Lyman back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gorillas were dealt a 66-24 defeat at the hands of the Raiders. The loss was the Gorillas' first of the season.

Gregory lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Asia Vanderwerff, who posted eight points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.8 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Regan Graesser, who put up seven points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gregory fell to 3-1. As for Lyman, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Gregory will square off against Wolsey-Wessington at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lyman, they will venture away from home to challenge Kadoka at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
