Football Recap: Kamari Hall and Bralyn Bodie Pace South Aiken Defense

South Aiken won the last time they faced Gilbert and things went their way on Friday too. The Thoroughbreds sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 victory over the Indians. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thoroughbreds.

South Aiken didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kamari Hall and Bralyn Bodie. Hall also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. South Aiken got some further help from Nick Starlings: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

South Aiken now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Gilbert, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. South Aiken will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Gilbert, they will venture away from home to challenge Midland Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
