Soccer Recap: Widefield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Widefield was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Pueblo East last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gladiators took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pueblo Central Wildcats on Thursday. Widefield were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pueblo Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Widefield's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Pueblo Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Widefield will head out to challenge Woodland Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pueblo Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Pueblo South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pueblo Central will be up against Pueblo South's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.67 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
