Softball Game Preview: Huntingdon Bearcats vs. Clearfield Bison

Huntingdon hasn't had much luck against Clearfield recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bearcats will host the Bison at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Huntingdon's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Bedford hitters got past them. The Bearcats lost 10-1 to the Bisons on Friday. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Clearfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Bald Eagle Area, falling 7-0.

Clearfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aevril Hayward, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Mia Helsel also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Clearfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Huntingdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
