Recap: King/Drew Golden Eagles vs. Franklin Panthers
The King/Drew Golden Eagles and the Franklin Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the King/Drew Golden Eagles had to settle for second. King/Drew fell 21-14 to Franklin.
Benjamin Villareal was his usual excellent self, rushing for 244 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Villareal was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Franklin's defense and their four sacks. Sebastian Pascuzzo was especially locked on to King/Drew's QB and sacked him three times.
King/Drew's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Franklin, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2-1.
King/Drew does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Franklin will take on Crenshaw at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Crenshaw has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 215 points over their last five matches.
