Softball Recap: Eastbrook Takes a Loss

Eastbrook came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mississinewa Indians, falling 9-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Eastbrook saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Randy Casto, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Eastbrook's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Mississinewa, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Eastbrook will head out on the road to square off against Frankton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Mississinewa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alexandria-Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
