Softball Game Preview: Greenland Pirates vs. County Line Indians

The Greenland Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the County Line Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenland has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Greenland is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Providence Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 16-6 to the Patriots.

Meanwhile, County Line didn't have quite enough to beat Scranton on Monday and fell 6-5.

County Line saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tavilynn Fortenberry, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That double was Fortenberry's first of the season.

County Line has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Greenland, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Greenland took their win against County Line in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
