Soccer Game Preview: Greenbrier vs. Merrol Hyde Magnet

The Greenbrier Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Greenbrier came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to White House-Heritage.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Merrol Hyde Magnet brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over Stratford on Friday. With that win, Merrol Hyde Magnet brought their scoring average up to 2.9 goals per game.

They hit Stratford with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Austin White (3), Carter Evans, Anderson Weaver, and Colby Hitchcock.

Greenbrier's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Merrol Hyde Magnet, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Greenbrier suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Merrol Hyde Magnet in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bobcats were down 4-1.
