It was a good run, but Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alexandria City Titans.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Alexandria City scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-20, 25-23.

Jonathan Choi paced Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's offense, picking up 14 kills. Choi got some help from Nick Boukens and his 26 assists. Choi was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Alexandria City, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-17 record this season.
