Basketball Recap: Adriana Jenkins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Evergreen Christian over Fairfax Homeschool

Evergreen Christian lost against Fairfax HomeSchool back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Evergreen Christian Eagles fell 51-38 to the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks.

Evergreen Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Adriana Jenkins, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. The match was her third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Hackney, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Evergreen Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Evergreen Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 25-6.

Evergreen Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-19 loss against Virginia Academy on the 21st.
