Volleyball Recap: Boca Raton Christian Gets the Win

Boca Raton Christian picked up another tournament win on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cardinal Mooney Cougars.

Hannah Vanzwieten paced Boca Raton Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Vanzwieten really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Mackenzi Vanzwieten controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the defeat, Cardinal Mooney saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Sparma had 16 digs and two assists. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Sparma.

Boca Raton Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cardinal Mooney, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Boca Raton Christian has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Lourdes Academy on the 29th. As for Cardinal Mooney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Pace Academy on the 29th.
