Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Master's Academy). They put the hurt on Calvary Christian Academy with a sharp 5-2 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Master's Academy moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Melbourne Central Catholic's draw gives them a new season record of 7-4-1.

Melbourne Central Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Master's Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Melbourne Central Catholic since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
