Grady never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Roosevelt Cougars with a sharp 17-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 last Thursday.

Quinlan Duykers looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Fyodor Corbell and Nathan Wan-Brodsky did most of the damage at the plate: Corbell went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Wan-Brodsky scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Jeremy Gonzalez was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Grady has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs this season. As for Roosevelt, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Grady will head out on the road to face off against New Utrecht at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roosevelt, they will take on Sunset Park at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
