Football Game Preview: Winona Wildcats vs. West Rusk Raiders + How To Watch

Winona hasn't had much luck against West Rusk recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Winona has given up an average of 33.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Winona took a blow against New Diana, falling 50-14.

Meanwhile, West Rusk came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Elks, posting a 62-13 win. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

A big part of West Rusk's victory came down to the chemistry between Judson Dotson and his top target Kameron Brown. Dotson threw for 211 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes while Brown picked up 129 receiving yards and three scores. Brown's longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards. Daylan Williams helped Dotson out on the ground, rushing for 74 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

West Rusk was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

West Rusk didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brown and Kemontrea McGregor. Brown got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

West Rusk's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Winona, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
