            Baseball Recap: Wausaukee Rangers vs. Lena Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Wausaukee extended their losing streak  to eight  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-11 in the process. They took  a  9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lena Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  13-2  back in April.
As for Lena, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 For Lena's part,  Sam Peterson and  Tyler Shallow did most of the damage at the plate:  Peterson  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI, while  Shallow  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. With that strong performance,  Peterson is now averaging an impressive 1.1  stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of  Isaac Peterson, who  got on base  in two of his four plate appearances with four  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wausaukee will square off against Elcho at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Lena, they will face off against Crivitz at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
