Baseball Recap: La Pine Comes Up Short

La Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the Sisters Outlaws. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

La Pine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gunnar Young, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Noah Olmstead also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

La Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Sisters, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Pine will take on Elmira at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sisters, they will welcome Harrisburg at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.27 runs per game on average), something the Outlaws will no doubt try to take advantage of.
