Regis Jesuit fought the good fight in their overtime game against Denver East on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Angels by a score of 95-92. On the bright side, the 92- point effort marked the Raiders' highest-scoring contest to date.

When it comes to explaining why Regis Jesuit lost, don't look at Eric Fiedler. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 44 points and ten boards. That was a full 47.8% of the Raiders' points, marking the seventh time in a row Fiedler has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Haubert, who went 6-for-14 en route to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Denver East's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dayesun Collier led the charge by dropping a double-double with 27 points and ten assists. The Angels are 2-1 when Collier posts 25 or more points, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Noah Adkins, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 20 points and three steals.

Regis Jesuit is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3. As for Denver East, they moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
