Football Preview: North Platte Bulldogs vs. Columbus Discoverers
The North Platte Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Columbus Discoverers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Platte will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
North Platte will head into Friday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they only won by three when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 26-point they dealt Lincoln Northeast on Friday. Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Columbus ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 28-27 photo finish over Fremont.
Michael Voichoskie was his usual excellent self, rushing for 140 yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.5 rushing yards per game. Will Wickham was another key player, throwing for 195 yards on 12 of 21 attempts.
The win got North Platte back to even at 2-2. As for Columbus, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
