Genoa-Kingston lost against Byron back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Genoa-Kingston Cogs were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to the Byron Tigers. The Cogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Genoa-Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Byron, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Genoa-Kingston will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Indian Creek at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Genoa-Kingston has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-1 during that stretch of close contests. As for Byron, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Winnebago at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
