Volleyball Recap: Hesperia Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Hesperia was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Muskegon Heights last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Shelby Tigers on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-20, 25-12.

Shelby was led to victory by Ariana Garza and Peyton Rapes. Garza had 22 digs, while Rapes had 33 assists and five digs. Those 33 assists gave Rapes a new career-high.

Hesperia's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Shelby, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hesperia will square off against White Cloud at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shelby, they will take on Ravenna at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
