Basketball Recap: Immanuel Christian Takes a Loss

Immanuel Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 65-47 bruising from Christ Chapel Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-65 back in December of 2024.

David Neaves was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds for Christ Chapel Academy. Another player making a difference was Noah Willis, who went 5 of 11 to rack up 14 points along with eight boards and three blocks.

Immanuel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Christ Chapel Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11.

Immanuel Christian and Christ Chapel Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Immanuel Christian (ranked 404th) will meet Fredericksburg Christian (ranked 127th) at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Christ Chapel Academy will take on Clinton Grace Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday down 262 places (276 vs. 14).
