Basketball Recap: Lee County Extends Winning Streak to Six

Lee County waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 47-37 victory over the Powell County Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 32-30 back in January.

Lee County pushed their record up to 11-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Powell County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.

Lee County has already played their next contest (against Wolfe County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Powell County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-52 defeat against Prestonsburg on the 15th.
