Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Lafayette Christian Academy lost against Catholic - N.I. back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since September 18th.

While Lafayette Christian Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Catholic - N.I.'s winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-22.

Lafayette Christian Academy's offense was headlined by Demi Barrett and Grace Alexander, who picked up ten kills apiece. They were helped by Kaitlyn HicKs and Dimi Batiste, who contributed seven assists each. Molly Benoit controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gracie Neck was a one-woman wrecking crew For Catholic - N.I. as she had 19 digs and two aces. What's more, Neck posted two assists, the most she's had over her last six contests.

This is the second loss in a row for Lafayette Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 11-9. As for Catholic - N.I., their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.

Looking ahead, Lafayette Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Rayne at 6:00 p.m. As for Catholic - N.I., they will head out to challenge Cecilia at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
