Baseball Recap: Oakland's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The matchup between Oakland and Skyline on Monday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Oakland lost 18-4 to Skyline. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Monty Yeager made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oakland fell to 2-1. As for Skyline, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7-1.
