Basketball Recap: Erath Takes a Loss

Erath suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Abbeville Wildcats, falling 55-32. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Wildcats are ranked 96th).

Erath has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Abbeville, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

As for Abbeville, they will challenge Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
