Football Game Preview: Liberal/Bronaugh vs. Appleton City/Montrose

After two weeks on the road, Liberal/Bronaugh is heading back home. On Friday they take on Appleton City/Montrose at 7:00 PM. Liberal/Bronaugh come in off of six low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.

Liberal/Bronaugh came up short against Diamond last Friday, falling 6-20.

Meanwhile, Appleton City/Montrose have had to suffer through a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rich Hill/Hume, sneaking past 20-18. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.

Appleton City/Montrose's victory lifted them to 3-3 while Liberal/Bronaugh's defeat dropped them down to 0-6. In Appleton City/Montrose's victory, sophomore Tyler Stutesman rushed for 103 yards and 1 touchdown and senior Austin Oehring passed for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns. We'll see if Liberal/Bronaugh have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
