Baseball Recap: Vinton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pickering last Tuesday, Vinton came back down to earth. Vinton took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rosepine Eagles on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Vinton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Rosepine, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Coincidentally, Vinton and Rosepine will both be playing DeQuincy the next time they take the field. Vinton will head out to face DeQuincy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Rosepine will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
