Basketball Game Preview: Normal University Pioneers vs. Limestone Rockets

The Normal University Pioneers will take on the Limestone Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Limestone took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Normal University, who comes in off a win.

Normal University is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since December 26, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past Fieldcrest 52-49.

Meanwhile, Limestone lost 72-51 to Metamora on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Redbirds are ranked 23rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Limestone and nudges their season record down to 11-13. As for Normal University, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.
