Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Fort Wayne Northrop

Fort Wayne Northrop proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the New Haven Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bruins have posted since March 23, 2024.

Zachary Mosher paced Fort Wayne Northrop's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mosher got some help from LahPwe Htoo and his 17 assists. Htoo was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Despite the defeat, New Haven saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sa Ailok Htut had 18 digs.

The win keeps Fort Wayne Northrop at an undefeated 4-0. As for New Haven, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Fort Wayne Northrop and New Haven will both be playing Homestead the next time they take the court. The Bruins will head out to face the Spartans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
