After a string of seven wins, DuVal's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 10-7 to the Flowers Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-6 back in March.

Ezeqiel Velez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Jared Mejia was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

DuVal's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Flowers, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

DuVal has already played their next match (against Suitland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Flowers, they will square off against Wise at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pumas have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.57 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
