Sturgis East came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Rising Tide with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sturgis East took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-10.

Chanda Plang paced Sturgis East's offense, picking up four kills. Plang got some help from Rowen Scully and her nine assists. Kaylee Koch controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Sturgis East's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Rising Tide, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Coming up, Sturgis East will head out to face off against Sturgis West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rising Tide, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvary Chapel Academy on Friday.
