Soccer Recap: Worcester Academy Comes Up Short

Worcester Academy was the 2-0 winner over Avon Old Farms when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hilltoppers fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that Worcester Academy have lost by just one goal.

Worcester Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Avon Old Farms, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Worcester Academy will welcome Phillips Exeter Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avon Old Farms, they will take on Northfield Mount Hermon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
