Locust Grove came tearing into Friday's game with 16 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 46-35 win over the Wagoner Bulldogs. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 122nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Locust Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Stokes, who went 5-for-10 en route to 17 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. That's the most blocks Stokes has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Stokes, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points.

Locust Grove's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Wagoner, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Locust Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-22 victory against Salina on the 10th. As for Wagoner, they have also already played their next contest, a 60-28 win against Catoosa on the 11th.
