Volleyball Recap: Tomas Comes Up Short

Tomas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Victoria East Titans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-20.

Tomas' defeat dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Victoria East, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-19.

Tomas and Victoria East could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Tomas will face off against Lamar Consolidated at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (1019 vs. 420). Meanwhile, Victoria East (ranked 582nd) will meet Victoria West (ranked 93rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
