Basketball Recap: San Marcos Academy Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Texas Christian, San Marcos Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the San Juan Diego Catholic Saints by a score of 61-51. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Saints back in January, they had to take a 69-57 defeat.

San Juan Diego Catholic lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mateo Aceves, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Aidan McCormick was another key player, putting up 14 points and five boards.

San Marcos Academy's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-16. As for San Juan Diego Catholic, they dropped their record down to 14-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither San Marcos Academy nor San Juan Diego Catholic have any future games scheduled.
