Owen McMahan turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than ten strikeouts on Monday. He struck out 14 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He was up against Montgomery Central and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in April of 2024. McMahan has become a key player for Sycamore: the team is undefeated when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 3-4 otherwise.
