Basketball Recap: Richland Northeast Piles Up the Points Against Airport

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richland Northeast). They claimed a resounding 67-24 victory over the Airport Eagles. With that win, the Cavaliers brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.

Leading Richland Northeast to victory were Bre'Asia Belk and Ke'Asia Belk. Bre'Asia shot 67% from the field en route to 23 points and six steals, while Ke'Asia went 9-for-14 to rack up 20 points and seven steals. Thanks to that strong game, Bre'Asia now owns an excellent 51.4% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Destiny Thompson, who posted four points along with six boards and five steals.

Richland Northeast smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.
