Softball Recap: Oakcrest Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Oakcrest came out on top against Wildwood Catholic on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Falcons took their game against the Crusaders 7-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 on April 3rd.

Trinity Brown was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Delaney Mason was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Oakcrest is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Wildwood Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakcrest will challenge Pleasantville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wildwood Catholic, they will square off against Wildwood at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
