When it comes to explaining why Milby lost, don't look at Aaron Lummus. Despite the final result, he rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. The dominant performance gave Lummus a new career-high in rushing yards. A healthy portion of Lummus' aerial production (101 yards to be exact) went to Isaiah Washington, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sterling to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damion Phoenix, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown. Jayson Hatton also helped out as he racked up 106 rushing yards.

With the defeat, Milby broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-5. As for Sterling, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Spring Woods the next time they take the field. Sterling will head out to face Spring Woods at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Milby will host them at 12:00 p.m. on November 9th.
